Market Shopping

Market Shopping
Living in Columbia, there is always something to do. Every Saturday on Main St is Sodacity Market. This was my first time attending, and I was impressed. There were many different tents with fresh produce, and other tasty treats. Sodacity has vendors selling everything from vintage clothing to handcrafted items. My favorite vendors of course were the vendors with produce.

Farmers markets are great places to find fresh produce, and the good thing about the South is the markets are here year round. Buying produce from markets can help save money and not only are you saving money year round, you are also giving back to local farmers, and avoiding tons of chemicals.

I found one in vendor in particular, Livingston Farms, which had an AWESOME deal. Fill a box for $10!!! I couldn’t resist. I ended up filling my box with squash, onions, apples, cucumbers, eggplant, okra, tomatoes, potatoes, yams, and zucchini. For all the produce I got for $10, I  would have cost me double, maybe even triple, that at the grocery store. I always get excited about a good deal, so this just made me ecstatic. I will be visiting again, and if you are in the Columbia area, you should too!
